Chalmers Brothers

Chalmers Brothers is a best-selling author, certified executive coach and longtime leadership development consultant. He began his 32-year career with 9 years at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and has built his speaking, coaching and training career by focusing on leadership effectiveness, corporate culture, productivity, teamwork, relationship and trust-building, emotional intelligence and personal growth.

He is former Chair of a Vistage CEO Private Advisory Board, and for the past 19 years has been a speaker at Vistage group meetings throughout the US and Canada. Chalmers provides a wide variety of leadership and employee training, including half-day, full-day and keynote sessions. His 8-module, multi-month program known as SOAR has now been successfully delivered in the US, United Kingdom, Israel and India.

Chalmers is the author of “Language and the Pursuit of Happiness: A New Foundation for Designing Your Life, Your Relationships and Your Results.” This 2005 best-selling book has been adopted for use within leadership and coaching programs at Georgetown University, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, NASA/Goddard Space Center Leadership Alchemy program, Newfield Network coach certification in US, Europe and Asia, and many others. Chalmers’ training and speaking clients include: The Coca-Cola Company, TripAdvisor, Infusionsoft, Dollar General Corp., Avanade Global Technologies, REI Systems, TEOCO, Office of Comptroller of the

His second book, “Language and the Pursuit of Leadership Excellence: How Extraordinary Leaders Build Relationships, Shape Culture and Drive Breakthrough Results” was co-authored with Vinay Kumar and released in October, 2015. This book highlights the power of language and the central role of conversations for understanding and improving leadership effectiveness, workplace culture
and the ability to produce unprecedented – breakthrough – results. It has also been accepted for use as a core text in the Georgetown University, George Mason University and Newfield Network coaching programs.

Chalmers gave his first TED talk in June, 2014 at TEDx Boca Raton. His talk, entitled “How Language Generates Your World and Mine” highlights the ways in which our internal and external conversations impact our interpretations, experiences, relationships, productivity and emotional well-being.

Chalmers has a B.S. degree in engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Worcester, MA) and an MBA from Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, LA). Chalmers and his wife of 31 years live in Naples, FL and have 3 children, ages 26, 24 and 21. Chalmers enjoys kayaking, golf, fishing and traveling with his family. He is a board member of the Pelican Bay Rotary Club, a past board member of the Collier
County Medical Society Alliance, and is active in other youth sports, civic and church-related activities.
